The Inspiration: For this cap design we looked to our all-time best-selling pieces: our fan-favorite Valin cap and our universally-loved Original Six hockey shirt design. The mix of the classic hockey teams and the 70s aesthetic make this hat something that could have been worn in the post-Original Six era.
The Style: This cap is a true throwback, with its '70s trucker-hat silhouette. It features a the tall crown, meshback, and snapback.
The Story: Like every item item we curate, this cap tells a great story about the history of hockey. It takes us back to a simpler time, when there were only 6 teams in the National Hockey League. The Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens from Canada, and the Boston Bruins, New York Rangers, Detroit Red Wings, and Chicago Blackhawks from the Eastern United States were the only teams to play in the league from 1942-1967. The term "Original Six" was only introduced after the league expanded (post 1967).
