2017 Super Bowl LI
Edelman's Shoe Catch
New England vs Atlanta
34 - 28
5 February, 2017
Edelman made a miraculous catch that was also the linchpin moment of the greatest Super Bowl comeback in history. The game started with three straight Atlanta touchdowns. New England managed only 3 points just before half on a Gostkoswski field goal. Then the incredible rally march began, carried by the sheer fortitude of Tom Brady. Still trailing by 8 with 3:30 left in the game, New England began a drive with no timeouts remaining and no room for error. At 2:22, Brady threw a 23-yard pass that was deflected up in the air by Alford, then fought over as the ball descended. Unbelievably, the ball was only kept off the ground by Alford's foot, and Edelman was able to reel in the football in the game-tying drive.
2015 Super Bowl XLIX
The Interception
New England vs Seattle
28 - 24
1 February, 2015
With 26 secs left, the Seahawks were at the 1 yd line, threatening the Patriots 4 pt lead. Seattle decided to throw and Malcolm Butler was ready, stepping in front of Ricardo Lockette to grab the interception, win the game, and give New England their 4th NFL Championship.
2015 AFC Divisional Playoff
The Double Pass
New England vs Baltimore
35 - 31
10 January, 2015
As the clock ticked down in the 3rd New England was down a TD and Bill Belichick decided to pull a trick play. Tom Brady tossed the ball to WR and former QB Julian Edelman who found Danny Amendola down field. The 51 yd TD pass gave the Patriots momentum and Brady got the winning TD in the 4th.
2002 Super Bowl XXXVI
First Super Bowl victory
New England vs St. Louis
20 - 17
3 February, 2002
Super Bowl XXXVI was the start of the Patriots dynasty. With the score tied and time running out in the game, Tom Brady drove the field without timeouts to get to field goal range. Adam Vinatieri's clutch 48-yard kick as time expires won the Patriots their 1st Super Bowl title.
