Position Title: Keyholder, Full-Time (Closer)

Start Date: Immediately

Job Description: As a Keyholder and sales associate, you'll be working at our beautiful gallery in the Distillery District in Toronto. During a typical work day you'll open the gallery and coffee bar, making sure everything is tidy and set in place. You'll greet customers, talk sports, and help them pick out the perfect item or artwork. You'll receive new products, add them to our inventory system and get them ready to be sold in-store and on our online shop. You'll look out for online orders and prep them to be shipped. You'll work on merchandise displays, using your your knowledge of current and historic sports to set up timely displays—and ones that tell a story. As a barista, you'll train on the art of making the perfect espresso, help make coffees and espresso drinks on the ARENA Coffee Bar side, serve alcoholic drinks responsibly, all while keeping everything clean and tidy.

You'll work with our small team on pretty much everything, and can focus on what your specific strengths and interests are. If you've got an eye for photography, videos, and social content, you'll help with posting and driving engagement on our social platforms. Your goal each day will be to help make The SPORT Gallery a haven for existing sports fans, and a place where yet-to-be-fans can learn and gain an appreciation for the history and art of sport.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in a retail environment
• Strong visual merchandising skills, extremely tidy, with A+ folding skills, and a clean-as-you-go work style
• Sports knowledge preferred, or at least a willingness to learn
• Hard-working, punctual, creative, and goal-oriented
• Must be Smart Serve certified within 2 weeks of starting

Schedule

• Must be able to work full-time, 5 days per week, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to work closing shifts (i.e. 12-8:15pm, 1-9:15pm, or 2-10:15pm) exact closing hours depend on the day/season (10pm close is only for Sat + Sun during peak seasons, or for rare special events)

Position Title: Keyholder and Order Fulfillment Lead, Full-Time

You'll train on ecommerce order fulfillment, and this will be your area of focus. You'll be responsible for receiving orders, emailing with customers, packaging orders with extreme care and attention to detail to ensure orders are filled accurately and efficiently. You'll create shipping labels and schedule pickups from shipping carriers.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in a retail shop
• Experience in ecommerce fulfillment preferred, but not required
• Attention to detail is key to this role
• Strong customer service skills

Order Fulfillment Coordinator, Part-Time 

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in getting the details right.

This role is responsible for owning our online order flow during the most important part of the day—making sure every order is picked, packed, and sent out accurately, efficiently, and to standard. It’s focused, hands-on work where precision matters. You'll be working from our beautiful gallery in the Distillery District, where you can excel at developing your product knowledge—which is essential for order accuracy.

What you’ll do:

• Manage and fulfill all online orders throughout your shift
• Pick and pack orders with a high level of accuracy and care
• Double-check items, sizes, and details before shipment
• Handle customer inquiries related to online orders, including order status, pickups, and pre-sale product questions
• Keep the packing and stock areas clean, organized, and efficient
• Support the gallery floor by restocking and maintaining presentation standards when orders are caught up

• You communicate clearly and confidently when responding to customer inquiries

What you bring:

• 6+ years in retail apparel experience
• Experience in online order fulfillment preferred but not required
• Sports knowledge preferred but not required

We're not your average sports store. The SPORT Gallery is home The SPORT Archive, one of the most significant collections of North American sports photography, and is therefore more than a retail space. SPORT magazine started in 1946 – eight years prior to Sports Illustrated – and quickly trailblazed its way into the public consciousness. We keep SPORT’s memory alive by preserving over 250,000 original negatives and transparencies, and through our physical locations, which allow visitors to travel back in time and experience the golden era of sports.

The apparel, headwear, accessories, and books we feature are all designed to mirror what you see in the pages of SPORT and in the museum-quality prints on our walls (which we produce in-store in Toronto). Rather than offer “on-field” jerseys or other modern, easily found styles, we work with premium brands to create one-of-a-kind products that tell a story. The SPORT Gallery is hiring both full-time and part-time gallery sales associates and also baristas for our Arena coffee bar.
