1965 Regular Season
Koufax's Perfect Game
Dodgers vs Chicago
1 - 0
9 September, 1965
It's the only perfect game in Los Angeles history, and it was thrown by one of the most celebrated pitchers in all of baseball history. Sandy Koufax threw his only perfect game against Chicago in 1965. He closed out the game in strong fashion, striking out the last six batters to face him.
1988 World Series Game 1
Gibson's Walk-Off HR
Dodgers vs Oakland
5 - 4
15 October, 1988
Los Angeles went into the 1988 World Series as a huge underdog versus Oakland. The first game went down to the last out and the last pitch. Los Angeles was down a run with the tying run on second. Kirk Gibson was injured but came in to pinch hit and took Dennis Eckersley to a full count. Then on the last pitch of the game he hit a walk-off home run. Los Angeles went on to win the series in 5 games, netting their 5th Championship since the move to L.A.
2004 Regular Season
Finley's Grand Slam
Dodgers vs San Francisco
7 - 3
2 October, 2004
In the second to last game of the season Los Angeles had a chance to clinch the NL West against rival San Francisco, but they were down 3-0 going into the bottom of the ninth. In a series of spectacular hitting and base running, Los Angeles tied the score at 3 and also had the bases loaded. That's when Steve Finley came to the plate and hit a walk-off grand slam to win the game and the division crown.
2006 Regular Season
4 Straight HRs
Dodgers vs San Diego
11 - 10
18 September, 2006
Los Angeles was down by four runs in the bottom of the ninth and they got all four back in a truly amazing way: four home runs in a row. It's a feat so rare and incredible it has only occured seven times in all of baseball history. Jeff Kent, JD Drew, Russell Martin and Marlon Anderson all hit back-to-back home runs to tie up the game. Nomar Garciaparra won the game for L.A. in the 10th with a two-run walk-off home run.
