Brooklyn Dodgers

Before they called Los Angeles home, the Dodgers were Brooklyn-based. "Dem Bums," as they were nicknamed, were famous for battling (and usually losing to) the Yankees in the World Series. And, of course, for breaking the colour barrier via Jackie Robinson in 1947. In 1957, just two short years after their first and only championship, they moved to California.
