New York Mets
The Mets are a hybrid of sorts – Brooklyn Dodger blue mixed with New York Giant orange (plus the Giants' interlocking "NY" logo). The Burroughs of Brooklyn and Manhattan lost their teams to California in 1957, and five years later Queens received the Mets. Those in New York who could never support the Yankees had a team again. And while the Mets would always play underdog, they have had their day a couple of times; they won the World Series 1969 and 1986 and appeared in three more.
