The '47 Hitch Hat
The '47 Hitch Hat | The New Standard Fit
The '47 Hitch is our favorite—and now most popular—new hat style. The Hitch is retro-inspired silhouette constructed of a pinched 5-panel mid-crown, a semi-curved visor, with a buckram panel for structure. Some styles are RF - relaxed fit, which means they have no panel for structure—this includes all NFL styles due to licensing limitations. Some versions have a braided rope.
Our customers rave about the Hitch style, and look for every version in this style, so that's why we've collected them all here. Check out our extensive collection of officially licensed '47 Hitch hats in MLB, NBA, NFL, CFL, and NHL. And shop our exclusive styles—designed and made for The SPORT Gallery—which means they're vintage-inspired, tell a story, incredibly unique, and fast to sell out.
Commons questions about the '47 Hitch
What is the '47 on the side?
That's the name and logo of the brand, '47 Brand, previously called Banner '47, they were founded in 1947. This logo appears on every hat they make.
What is the difference between the Hitch and Hitch RF?
The standard Hitch has a panel in the inside front crown that give it structure - while the Hitch RF has no panel on the inside, meaning it's not structured and has a more relaxed crown and more relaxed look. Everything else about the hat is the same. If you like a hat with a lot of crown structure go for the standard Hitch. Note that all NFL styles are only available in the Relaxed Fit (RF) version.
