With under 5 minutes to go in the 1986 AFC Championship the Broncos were down a touchdown and starting from their own 2 yard line. Elway led Denver 98 yards for the touchdown in what is now know as "The Drive". The Broncos went on to win the game 23-20 in overtime and advance to the Super Bowl.
